ข้อจำกัดในการใช้งาน Cisco WLC 2500 Series เมื่อต้องการเปิดใช้งาน Wi-Fi Authentication ด้วย 802.1X คือ รูปแบบของทราฟฟิกจากฝั่ง Client หากทราฟฟิกของ Client วิ่งผ่าน WLC (ในโหมด Central Switching) จะสามารถใช้งานฟังก์ชัน Shape Bandwidth ต่อผู้ใช้งาน (Per-User Bandwidth Shaping) ได้ แต่หากทราฟฟิกของ Client ไม่วิ่งผ่าน WLC (เช่นในโหมด Local Switching) จะไม่สามารถใช้งานฟังก์ชันนี้ได้
